THE ROLE OF MICRO FINANCE BANKS IN PROMOTING MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM SCALE ENTERPRISES
This study was design to assess the Role of Micro Finance Banks in Promoting Small Business in Nigeria. A descriptive research was the approach used in conducting the research and a simple random sampling was used to select the respondent used for this study. Statement of problem and research questions was formulated to provide the study. Questionnaire was the instrument used for the study. Data were analyzed with the use of descriptive statistics. Research of the study revealed that the micro finance bank has significantly impacted on the growth and development of micro, small and medium scale enterprise in Nigeria. This paper has also provided useful recommendations which are carried out would help in the promotion of small scale enterprises in Nigeria.
