ABSTRACT

The study examines the role of government agency in promoting small scale business in Nigeria (a case study of selected government agencies in Owerri). In addition, it seeks to investigate the role of government agencies in promoting small scale business in the country. Firstly, the chapter one of this work focuses on the background of the study, statement of the problem, objectives of study, research questions, scope of the study, and so on. Secondly, chapter two of this work is geared towards literature review of other scholars in the role of government agencies in Nigeria economy. The chapter three of this research tells about the research design and methodology adopted during the research of this work. The chapter four also implies the presentation and analysis of the result gathered during the research, it interprets the result. Finally, the fifth chapter deals with summary of findings, conclusion and recommendations on the role of government agencies in promoting small scale business in Nigeria.
