THE ROLE OF DIGITIZED ACCOUNTING INFORMATION SYSTEM IN AN COMPANY’S ASSETS SECURITY
The introduction of digitized accounting information system has great potential to produce accountability of work, reduce data, it is highly appreciated because paper work is reduced and information can be stored and retrieved for use when needed. The study was to find out the role of digitized accounting information system in an companys asset security a study of united African Plc Ikot ekpene branch. For this research work to be effectively carried out the use of primary and secondary data was applied. In primary data, the researcher use personal interview and advance questionnaires. While secondary data was gotten from textbooks, lecture notes reference material etc. The data collected was presented in tables and analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation co-efficient. Hypothesis was tested and the test revealed that in any company whether large or small, computer can be used to reduce paper work, thereby reducing the cost and time of performing routine transaction. The study thus encourages all company’s to adopt digitized accounting accuracy and reliability.
