THE IMPORTANCE OF CIVIL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENT

This study examine “The Importance of Civil Engineering Construction Document” To accomplish the research objectives, at the background, a brief introduction of the importance of Civil Engineering Construction Document was assessed. A study survey approach was adopted in the whole study. A simple random sampling techniques was adopted which thirty (30) staff were selected at random. The questionnaire which provide the primary source and the secondary source of data collection through respondents at Basse Engineering Company Asphalt plant site, Uyo. A simple percentages and frequencies method was used for data analysis .From the findings, it was revealed that Civil Engineering Constructions Documents are of great importance in execution of Civil Engineering Works. It defines the duties of parties involve in construction contract, it is also used by contractors for tendering and give instruction as to show how the work is to be carried out. It was therefore, recommended among others that all construction companies should use a complete construction documents in every construction project.
