Abstract
This research work is the Impact of appraisal method in the motivation of Local government employees in Abia state using Umunneochi Local government as a case study. The study examined the effects of appraisal method in the local government institutions in the state. The mostly considered a good setting method of a performance appraisal appropriate in Local government service. I also examined the effects of political influence and religious sentiments in performance appraisal exercise in employee’s motivation. The study recommends possible principle that should be adopted during appraisal of performance exercise in local government institutions.
