THE IMPACT OF ACCOUNTING ON EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT IN AN ORGANIZATION

The study was conducted to research on the impact of accounting on effective management in an organization. (A study of Akwa Saving and Loan Limited, Uyo). The objectives of study was to determine the extent of which accounting function has help the top management executives in both private and public organizations to make good decisions. The population of study was thirty-five while the sample of study was thirty-two, the instrument used for the research work are personal interview and questionnaires, the sample percentage was used for data analysis and the result of analysis showed that proper accounting records as the basis for making useful and proper decisions. Based on the finding, it was recommended that the company should rely on the accounting information as they help to make good and useful decisions, and also to any organization either large or small that wants to succeed in business must not fail to embrace the functions of accounting in its organization set goals.
