REHABILITATION OF INSTITUTE’S GROUP BUS
ABSTRACT
Before we (Mechanical Engineering Students majoring in Automobile Engineering) took delivery of Mercedes 508, EN 29 – A45 from the central workshop, the chief maintenance officer Mr. S.I. Enekwe pinpointed the following faults
- Faulty steering
- Leaking radiator
- Lightening system (Trafficator lights)
- Faulty brakes
We accepted the repair job as a challenge and in the course of repair we equally discovered some other minor faults which were not stated by the chief maintenance officer. We are happy to say that challenging was conquered by members of the groups through singleness of heart, hard work and faith. The department (Mechanical Engineering) is ever ready to put more of such ground vehicles back to the road if given an enabling environment to practice.
