RADIO LISTENERS CHOICE OF STATION AND PRESENTATION
Listeners to radio news have overtime claimed their certain factors attracted them to a particular station of a particular time so the thrust of this work was on the extent to which news presentation patterns influenced listeners’ choice of a radio station for their news needs in Uyo urban. It’s hoped the study will unearth the various problem the adult grapple with in the process of listening to news on radio considering among other this the listener psychological dispositions. The study otherwise referred to as SEPAR and adopted the survey method with the Questionnaire as its measuring instrument to gather data from respondents of Uyo urban from Age 16 upwards that was presented in tables and analyses using simple percentages. Findings show that Radio news presentation patterns have large influence on adults’ choice of Radio stations in Uyo aid it equally suggested among others that station’s news editors should give more attention to listeners’ information needs.
