NEWSPAPER COVERAGE OF FOREIGN NEWS IN NIGERIA. A CONTENT ANALYSIS OF DAILY CHAMPION AND VANGUARD NEWSPAPER

The principal aim of this research work is to find out the extent to which Daily Champion and Vanguard Newspapers reports foreign news. The specific purpose of this study is to 1. To find out if the political ideology of Nigerian affects its press reportage of foreign news. 2. To evaluate between Daily Champion and Vanguard newspaper rate of foreign news coverage. 3. To know the type of news about foreign counties that is reported by Daily Champion and Vanguard newspaper. 4. To critically examine the extent at which the Nigerian press show interest in the countries.
