NEWSPAPER COVERAGE OF DRUGS ABUSE AND CRIMINAL CASE IN AKWA IBOM STATE

According to newspaper or press literature in the link on the drug and crime, there is a relationship between abusing drugs and involvement criminal activities. A growing number of literature and empirical research have documented that relationship exist between drug abuse and criminal offences. Through studying a selected sample of 300 respondent have affirmed that indeed relationship exist between drug abuse and involvement in criminal offence. The result of the study reveal that is not all situations that drug abusers get involved in criminal activities, even in situation where they do, abusing the drugs alone is inappropriate in justifying their attitude.
