The objectives of this research work are as follows: (i) To identify the source of the news at the disposal of Uyo residents. (ii) To identify the information usually sought for by Uyo residents. (iii) To ascertain the perception of Uyo residents towards credibility of the available information resources. (iv) To find out the pattern of information seeking activity of the Uyo residents. (v) To investigate other factors influencing information seeking of Uyo residents. 1.4 RESEARCH QUESTIONS (i) What are the sources of the News at the disposal of Uyo residents?
