INVESTIGATION AND PREVENTION OF HERNIA
The purpose of this research work was to investigate about Hernia. In order to achieve this purpose, the researcher developed an opinion based paper to buttress the points required. The researcher furthermore adopted the conceptual framework in defining the subject matter at hand. The research method used in this study was the Essay case study method where opinions of notable scholars were employed to highlight the points. The study concluded that having a preventable disease and as such does not lead one to death if taken proper care of.
CHAPTER ONE
1.0 Definition of Hernia
A hernia occurs when an organ or fatty tissue squeezes through a weak sport in a surrounding muscle or connective tissue called fascia.
1.1 Introduction
A hernia is the protrusion of an organ or the fuscia of an organ through the wall of the cavity that normally contains it from within. There are different kinds of hernias, each requiring a specific management or treatment.
By far the most common hernias develop in the abdomen, when a weakness in the abdominal wall evolves into a localized hole, or “defect”, through which adipose tissue, or abdominal organs covered with peritoneum, may protrude. Another common hernia involves the spinal discs and causes sciatica. A hiatal hernia occurs when the stomach protrudes into mediatinum through the esophageal opening in the diaphragm.
Therefore, this research project seeks to explore in details what is hernia, causes of hernia, symptoms of hernia, effect of hernia and measures to manage, cure and preventions of hernia in our body.
1.2 The Facts on Hernia
A hernia occurs when a portion of tissue in your body bulges into or penetrates a weakened muscle area. Theoretically, hernia can happen anywhere in your body, but most occur in the abdomen between the rib cage and the groin.
