DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTTATIION OF A COMPUTER-BASED PRISON MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Prison is a place foe confinement of person in lawful detention especially when convicted or awaiting trial. Prison could also said to be an extensive way of rehabilitant and reforming people who has been found guilty of any crime for the purpose of usefulness of both individual and the society. For the effectiveness and efficient tendering of service in the prison sector, computerization has to take its due in this sector so as to eliminate the use of manual method of computation and the problems associated with this method. This work takes a critical appraisal of prison service system in Nigerian with focus on Nigerian prison services, Enugu state the designing and implementation of the new system is over viewed in this study since it has been envisaged that the computerized system will enhance operation and activities of prison services
