ABSTRACT
The work presents a design of a Estate management
information system. An Estate management
information system is concerned with the computerization of environmental records
appraisal Housing Department in order to achieve the aims and objectives of the
organization. The entrance of computer
into the Estate management information system will help create and maintain
efficient records. This will also help
to fish out “ghost workers”
The design was implemented to facilitate the Estate
management Information system for administration. It will be less time wasting and cheap to
run.
It is expected that if full consent is given to this, it
will enhance the Information of Estate management record of the administration.
ORGANIZATION
OF WORK
This project
work is primarily designed to give an insight to Estate management information
system.
Chapter one
talks about introduction to Estate management information system, study of
problem and objectives as well as definition of the scope.
Chapter two
comprises the literature review. Chapter three gives the detailed information
about the existing (old) system, while chapter four and five deals with the
design and implantation of new system.
Chapter six document the project work, while chapter seven summaries, conclusion and suggestions were made.
CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
Estate management information system (EMIS) refers
to both the practice and the study of the activities people perform in order to
acquire, organize, maintain, retrieve and use information items such as
documents (paper-based and digital), web pages and email messages for everyday
use to complete tasks (work-related and not) and fulfill a person’s various
roles (as parent, employee, friend, member of community, etc.). One ideal of ESIM
is that we always have the right information in the right place, in the right
form, and of sufficient completeness and quality to meet our current need.
Technologies and tools such as personal information managers help us spend less
time with time-consuming and error-prone activities of EMIS (such as looking
for information). We then have more time to make creative, intelligent use of
the information at hand in order to get things done or, simply, to enjoy the
information itself.
Interest in the study of EMIS has increased in recent years. One goal in the study of EMIS is to identify ways to introduce new tool support without inadvertently increasing the complexity of an Estate information management challenge. The study of EMIS means understanding better how people manage information across tools and over time. It is not enough simply to study, for example, e-mail use in isolation. A related point is that the value of a new tool must be assessed over time and in a broader context of a person’s various EMIS activities.
An Estate information management System (EMIS) is a type of application software that functions as a personal organizer. As an information management tool, a EMIS’s purpose is to facilitate the recording, tracking, and management of certain types of information. We offer a number of core services that can automatically be expected as part of our annual management fee but as a rule of thumb, all our services are bespoke to suit your requirements.
These
services include the appointment of an experienced, dedicated Property Manager
who will take specific responsibility for your property. Your Property Manager
receives backup from our Property Maintenance Co-ordinator who is responsible
for the day-to-day liaison with contractors.
We also offer a range of optional services tailored to the specifications of
your property. Before you appoint us, your potential property manager would
carry out an inspection of your property to give you a tailor-made fee proposal
and discuss with you the necessity and benefits of these various options, and
help you decide which, if any, to select. The costs for these options will be
worked into our tailored annual service charge.
Our
optional services include: –
- additional inspections of the property by your appointed Property Manager
- attendance and/or arrangement of AGM’s and meetings
- company secretarial duties
- the investment of reserve funds
- the employment and supervision of staff
- mediation in disputes
- lease, statutory requirements and compliance issues.
- Right To Manage consultancy and implementation services
Computer programmers have gone ahead
to write a program to assist in the storage of information in an Estate
management office in the state.
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
The main problem of this study was to examine and
evaluate the physical, social and economic effect of land and property use
activities in its present location in Enugu state and recommend solution to the
problems identified, because there has been series of criticism against the
manner by which land and property was allocated to people in the state
- PURPOSE
OF STUDY
The main purpose of this study is to
put to an end the difficulties encountered during storage of estate management
data/information. This is actualized by designing an estate management
information system which is user friendly and interactive. By the time this
software is designed and implemented, the difficulties encountered with manual
method of keeping information will be eliminated.
- SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY
Huge of files kept in the offices will no longer be there again because information will be stored on the computer with the help of the estate management information system.
