ABSTRACT
Computerized Industrial Training Supervision system is Database information system used by the institution to record and supervises all the student records undergoing their industrial training experience. It is a powerful tool in the career department of the institution.
Database is an organized collection
of information, data, or citations stored in electronic format that can be
searched for specific information or records by techniques specific to each
database.
student Industrial Training System is a
program used to electronically collect data, process it and also store it for
future use.
Computerized Industrial Training Supervision system implements the techniques of database normalization. Normalization is the process of efficiently organizing data in a database. There are two goals of the normalization process: eliminating redundant data (for example, storing the same data in more than one table) and ensuring data dependencies make sense (only storing related data in a table). Both of these are worthy goals as they reduce the amount of space a database consumes and ensure that data is logically stored.
The program deal on Student Industrial
Training system .The sore purpose of this program is to enhance and facilitate
the Management approach to information collection and storage for future use.
ORGANIZATION OF WORK
This
project work is primarily designed to give an insight to Computerized student
Industrial Training System.
Chapter one
talks about introduction to student Industrial Training System, study of
problem and objectives as well as definition of the scope.
Chapter two
comprises the literature review. Chapter three gives the detailed information
about the existing (old) system, while chapter four and five deals with the
design and implantation of new system.

INTRODUCTION
The role information technology
have played in various field of human endeavors can not be over emphasized. As
most section of humanity like banking industries, auto mobile industries etc
have experience the influenced of information technology like wise the religious
setting.
From the word “training”, it is
expected that the student who on his attachment should learn both practical and
theoretical aspects of work, based on the industry and the department he’s
attached in.
Students industrial work experience
scheme (SIWES) was designed to prepare students in institute of higher learning
to be able to handle some of those equipment and machinery that may not be
available in the various institution of higher learning. Moreover, Industrial
training has contributed a lot to the student various area of study. Industrial
attachment however is the opportunity given to the student by the university
Commission to fix their selves to an industry to acquire the practical
knowledge of their profession to understand very well the nature of their
provision and help them to access their understanding and able to adjusting the
area they are lacking behind.
In 1974, the Federal Government
introduced the National Policy on Industrial Training called Students
Industrial work Experience Scheme (SIWES). The program is designed by the
Federal Government under the Ministry of Education, and supervised by the
National Board for Technical Education, and supervised by the National board
for Technical Education. It is designed to help students acquire practical
education and experience in their field of study. This program has provided a lot
of benefits to students as it exposes them to real life and practical
experienced of things they might have learnt. Thus, they are better position to
face life successfully.
Computerized student industrial training system is a powerful database program that records all the data of student undergoing industrial training. A computer database is a structured collection of records or data that is stored in a computer system. A database relies upon software to organize the storage of data. In other words, the software models the database structure in what are known as database models (or data models).
The log book
This book is to assist the student to keep, record of the training it will show the departments and sections in which the student has worked and the periods of time spent in each. The daily work carried out during the periods of training is to be recorded clearly with sketches and diagrams where applicable. Students are required to present the log books at intervals to the industrial based supervisor for assessment of content and progress. The supervisor can use any page for his comments where necessary.
The training supervisor of the IMT will check the log books at regular intervals to ensure that the proper training is being received and record his comments on the pages provided for this purpose, towards the end of the book
