DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ORTHOPEDIC INFORMATION SYSTEM

4,000
Computerized orthopedic information system is used to record diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, injuries, deformities, and malformations of the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. Orthopedists thus treat traumatic injuries to bones, such as fractures and dislocations; disturbances in joints, such as sprains, torn cartilages, or strained ligaments; and inflammation of muscle or connective tissues, such as bursitis, myositis, and tendinitis. This project contains a detailed analysis of the existing manual-based monitoring system of a Hospital of the orthopedic hospital Enugu State as a case study. Base on the analysis, problem areas were identified and a computerized orthopedic information system was designed and implement using the IBM compatible Micro-computer system, with colour monitor.
