DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Product distribution is very important in medium and large scale business or companies. Manufacturers must decide on the best way to store, handle and move good and services so that they are available to customers at high time and place. Therefore manufacturers typically need to employ the services of distribution information system so that distribution effectiveness will have a major on customers satisfaction and company costs. This research work is a study of the distribution system of the Nigeria Breweries Limited 9th mile corner Enugu. A handful of problems was discovered because of the manual distribution in use in the company. This has almost destroyed good efforts. I stressed the need for good distribution and introduction the use of computers and the installation of distribution information software system that will work with data transmission system interconnected by telephone lines to the existing C.D. P system of a computer. These is also a simple program in this work that will help the management of the company to quickly transmit relevant information to the manufacturing plant on receipt of a customer orders, so that they will be able to get their order quickly.
