DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPUTERIZED COURIER MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

This project work is an effort towards the affective computerization of courier management information system with special reference to DHL Enugu. The project work researches into the method of operations involved in express mail system it studies into the data entry operations, processing and report generation. It also keeps adequate record of customers and as well generates report on them when needed by the management. This project aims at exploiting the electronic speed of computers to aid effective courier computation. The system will store all relevant information of the courier automatically, processes the information stored, and as well generate report from them. This will enable management to make timely and effective decisions for planning, directing and controlling the activities going on in the organization. This new computerized system is fast accurate and data-safety is ensured. This is achieved by designing a database which provides facility for pass-wording, data normalization and easy storage and retrieval.
