DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPUTERISED ACADEMIC PLANNING SYSTEM FOR LEARNING INSTITUTION

Academic Planning System for Learning Institution in this course of study tries to find a better way of planning for courses, facilities, lecturers and students for better and quality standard of education, where as this research specializes in academic planning on students which deals on the number of students enrolled in each department and then entire institution. This is collected and sent to NBTE. The manual method used in this renders it inefficient and therefore reduces the quality of education being rendered on students. But the computerized approach has been adopted to reduce that inefficiency by storing the students enrolled in the database and get the number of students enrolled from it. When this computerized approach is adopted, it enhances getting all the number of female/male students in the school faster, more accurately and reliably, thereby increasing the standard of education because it makes plan easier and done in appropriate time. Therefore, this work is recommended to higher institutions so that they can be getting reliable information at appropriate time for effective plan/decision making on academics.
