AN EVALUATION OF LISTENERS RATING OF AKBC RADIO PROGRAMME “STUDENT’S PARLIAMENT”

A study on “ An Evaluation of listeners rating of AKBC radio programme “students’ parliament’’ on a case study of Uyo City Polytechnic was carried out. The study’s design was survey, the study’s population was 5000 and the sample was 370. The study’s tool was the questionnaire. Findings revealed that a greater percentage of respondents did not like the programme because, it is not interesting. Secondly, the time the programme was preferred by respondents was 4 to 5pm. Based on this survey, the study therefore recommended that the programmes should be more enriched in order to attract a larger audience. Then, time presentation should be shifted back in the afternoon mostly on week-ends. Lastly, enough researches should be done in order to keep listeners on parliamentary issues.
