AN APPRAISAL OF COMPUTER APPLICATION IN GSM OPERATION

GSM phones are wireless devices that use radio signal to communicate with the public switched telephone network (PSTN). This is more possible by the construction of systems of radio antennas called BASE STATIONS which is placed within the adjacent geographical areas called cells. Cell phone communicate wirelessly with the multiple transceivers sites, each of them is linked to a central computer that mediates communication with the public telephone system. Telemetry: this can be described as a machine to machine communication for the purpose of monitoring and controlling. In its simplest form, telemetry consist of sending and receiving of data between electronic devices. It enables data such as information from computer to GSM. It can also be used for controlling devices such as on / off. A process in addition, the value we can get from it include: i. Network operator providing a communication medium ii. Manufacturer providing a hardware that will transmit data over the network. iii. A computer that measured the desired data iv. An application that access the data and convert it to information.
