ABSTRACT
This research work was carried out about the comparative analysis of agricultural and industrial development in Nigeria economy. It wants to evaluate the contributions of the sectors to the economic development of Nigeria. Nigeria is predominantly an agricultural society. It is the source of raw materials for her industries and the source of food for the rural and urban dweller’s. The purpose of this study is to asses the performance of the agricultural and industrial sectors of the Nation (Nigeria) economy in the light of their contributions to the realization of the country’s industrial developmental objectives. In this study, the researcher want to provide a structural and functional assessment of the development in the sectors. Also, the researcher wants to emphasis on the attainment of self-sufficiency in agriculture and to recommend solution for further and future development of agriculture and industrial sector in the country with basic indicators of growth, development and also asses the general economic impact created by the two sectors. This research was done using different data techniques, instrument. The population of the study, area of study and sample where also used in getting figures and data were analyzed and presented in order to gather information either primary and through secondary data. At the end of the research the researcher was able to achieve and arrived at a conclusion. The study identified this importance of agricultural and industrial development in Nigeria, the economic impact created by these sectors. The study also concluded that capital policies have played very little role in the influencing output in the agricultural and industrial sectors owing to a number of problems and in order to make credit policies work efforts must be made to tackle the problem faced by the lenders, borrows and those arising from detective policy framework.
